'Glendalough' is a very special property in an incredible location. The beautiful Delatite River flows along one boundary and the huge aquatic playground of Lake Eildon is only 1km down the road. The snowfields of Mt Buller and Mt Stirling are within easy reach too.
The picture book home is nestled amongst a magnificent array of deciduous trees that provide lush greenery and shade in spring and summer and a stunning display of colour in autumn. This is a property you can enjoy with your family and friends in all seasons as the character filled home is deceptively spacious and currently set up to accommodate a dozen or more guests inside, with the lawn around the home ideal for caravans and tents if you have a crowd descending for a special event. But be warned it might be hard to get them to leave!
Regular guests currently include a vast array of native birds, echindas and kangaroos and the odd deer. There are fenced paddocks and plenty of feed for some of your own 4 legged friends. You won't need to worry about water with a lovely big dam and river pumping rights.
Inside there are 4 bedrooms plus a huge multipurpose loft space that has room for several beds in addition to sofas and other occasional furniture. We think it would make a lovely space for yoga or perhaps a very Zen home office. The Jetmaster fireplace heats not only the main living space with those incredible cathedral ceilings, but the entire house. There's also floor heating which is great to leave on low while you are up on the slopes in winter so you can come back to a toasty warm home. In summer the house is shaded by the established trees, with ceiling fans and lots of nice big windows to allow cross ventilation...and the ultimate way to cool down is just a short stroll away with your own little 'beach' on the Delatite River. Absolute bliss!
